Recently, a short video capturing the image of a giant creature chained to a truck was posted on YouTube and attracted nearly 10,000 views a day.

It is known that this giant creature crawled out of the cave after construction workers conducted an explosion at the Belo Monte dam area in Brazil. Through surveys, this giant carnivore weighs nearly half a ton, and has a total length from head to tail of 9.7m.

According to researchers, it is very likely that this newly discovered giant creature is an Anacoda python – one of the scariest creatures on Earth.

Not only that, this is most likely the largest python in the world as its body size even exceeds the Medusa python – the world’s longest python, which set the 2013 Guinness record.

Accordingly, the Medusa python weighs 136kg, is 7.6m long and is currently being raised in Kansas City (Missouri, USA).

The Anaconda is a genus of giant snakes that lives in the Amazon River basin. They like to live underwater, or hide in swamps, rivers, and caves in the jungles of South America. They include 4 species: blue, yellow, black and white spotted and giant Bolivian snake.

With its massive body, violent personality and hiding skills, giant snakes become formidable “silent” assassins.

Although somewhat slow, they are very strong. With quite strong and sharp fangs, this python can defeat and swallow large and strong animals such as deer, muntjac, leopards, even buffaloes, cows, and hippos in a short time.

Anaconda pythons digest quite slowly, so when they eat meat, they can fast for a long time until they find new prey.

Many researchers believe that the construction of a hydroelectric plant at the Belo Monte dam could destroy the habitat of living creatures. However, this discovery helps scientists find out a lot of new information about giant creatures on Earth.
