In the clip, a sand python originating from Africa is undergoing the process of giving birth. 

But instead of laying eggs, it gave birth to a total of 6 baby pythons. Although newly born, baby pythons already have a complete form, can open their eyes and open their mouths wide as if preparing to hunt.

This python gave birth to a total of 6 young pythons.

The process of a mother sand python giving birth was recorded and posted online by the Reptile Protection Center. Up to now, the clip has received 55 million views.

Unlike the scary appearance of other species, sand pythons have small eyes, looking quite funny. Additionally, their skin has beautiful yellow and brown patterns. This is also a feature that attracts animal lovers.

Although able to adapt to high temperatures, this species prefers to live at night. So they spend most of their day burying themselves in the sand.

Adult sand pythons are not too large in size, only about 50cm long. Their lifespan is about 15-20 years, in captivity it can be up to 30 years. The gentle temperament of sand pythons is reflected in their favorite foods. They only eat small reptiles such as small lizards, geckos and mice.

Sand pythons are among the 30% of snake species that give birth to live young (viviparous) mainly living in cool areas. The remainder are oviparous snakes distributed in warm climates. The gestation period of a python giving birth is 100-150 days. They usually give birth to about 10 young and a maximum of 64 young.
